Dynamic QoS-based Video Transmission in Wireless Information-Centric Networks

چکیده

Information-Centric Networking (ICN) is an emerging communication paradigm that reconstructs the Internet architecture. The features of ICN provide new opportunities for Internet multimedia applications. However, wireless network protocols do not consider the characteristics of ICN and QoS requirements of video transmission. This paper proposes a dynamic QoS-based video transmission scheme over wireless ICN. The proposed scheme classifies the video packets into different priorities, which is based on the importance of video data. By continuously monitoring the network conditions, the video transmission policy is dynamically adjusted. The experiment results demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves better QoS than the conventional methods.
